5 lessons from closing $106,469 in influence since September
The space is blowing up...
It’s been a bit more than 2 months I started working as The Sales Creator Agent and my business is blowing up. I’ve closed $106,469 in brand partnerships so far, and the trajectory is scary good. With 26 creators we represent, I’m getting 2 to 3 opportunities every day, to the point I am almost at capacity.
Here are 5 lessons I learned from these 2 crazy months:
Lesson 1) B2B influence is exploding
I closed more in 2 months than I closed in the whole year of 2025. I’ve always been selling stuff that wasn’t easy to sell. Crowdtesting, sales training, etc. These solutions are never an evidence for prospects, which makes the whole sales process complex.
B2B influence is the exact opposite. It’s the hottest space I can think of after AI. Every brand wants to work with creators, but creators are so solicited that they can’t keep up and end up losing on opportunities.
That’s why I’m now working with 2 agents, and planning to onboard a few others by the end of the year.
Lesson 2) The ROI is massive for brands
The crazy trajectory of B2B influence comes from the ROI brands get by working with sales creators. They get access to an engaged, authentic audience, and I’ve seen up to 600% ROI.
For example, one of my good friend and customer invested $33,000 in a LinkedIn takeover campaign. He got 1,500+ signups from the campaign, a ton of brand awareness, and over 50 DMs.
I see this all over the place. Brands can’t get enough of it.
Lesson 3) Creators undercharge by a large margin
Most creators don’t understand how impactful their content is. I’m a creator myself, so I’ve been there. I sometimes still feel like I’m writing for an audience of 10 people.
But the truth is the influence of creators who are authentic and work with integrity is immense. They have real people rooting for them, and trying tools they recommend.
That's why working with me or one of my agents makes so much sense when you’re a creator who is in demand. You create an additional layer of negotiation, which helps you to get better deals. You’re also joining a collective of creators, and a team with real insights into what brands pay.
Lesson 4) Don’t believe everything you see on LinkedIn
LinkedIn is filled with crooks and liars. Some people with massive audiences and crazy engagement have close to no influence. Their numbers look impressive, but look at their comment section and you realize it’s all engineered virality.
I’ve heard horror stories of brands paying $50,000 to one creator, and getting nothing in return. That’s why working with me is also a win for brands. I have a good idea of the type of campaign that work, and the right influencers for your product.
Lesson 5) It’s the wild west
This space is completely unstructured. Brands don’t know how much to pay, creators don’t know how much to charge. New players are coming in and the market is about to get competitive.
This is a great signal for me. I was surprised to see so few people taking advantage of this opportunity, but things are changing, and more competition means we’re going to have much more fun closing deals for our creators.
I’m working every day to structure that space and make sure we don’t turn it into a shark tank. It’s the first time I get to define a category and I can’t wait to see what the next few months have in stock for me.
And that’s it. I’ll keep updating you about the journey as it happens.
Cheers,
Thibaut Souyris
